South Sudan
Uganda will be looking to retain top position in Group B when they host South Sudan at Venue Kitende Ground in Kampala. The Cranes have been producing excellent displays ever since Northern Ireland tactician Johnny McKinstry took over the reins, and it has to be noted that they are eyeing their eighth consecutive win in all competitions. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Al-Ittihad attacker Emmanuel Okwi, who has netted 26 goals in 78 appearances for the national team.
South Sudan, on the other hand, have been competing as an independent country since 2011. The Bright Stars have always been serving as a cannon fodder for their rivals in qualifiers for showpiece tournaments, and seeing that they were beaten by both Malawi and Burkina Faso in the first two group games in the AFCON qualifiers, home win should be considered.
