Grimsby Town will be aiming to put an end to their five-game winless run in the League Two when they host Southend United at their Blundell Park on Matchday 24. The Mariners experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Port Vale, with the team dropping to the relegation zone once again. Grimsby are eager to grab something from the relegation six-pointer against Southend, but we do not believe that they are capable of beating the Seasiders, who have been showing signs of improvement of late.
The rock-bottom side recorded a very important win over Barrow at the weekend, and even though veteran defender Greg Halford is banned for the Grimsby Town game, we are tempted to put our money on the visitors, who have been in a fine form in the League Two of late.
