Cincinnati take on DC United at their Nippert Stadium in their first league match after the corona break in what is expected to be a very close encounter. Cincinnati were playing above expectations at the MLS is back tournament, with the team beating the likes of Atlanta United and New York Red Bulls in the process, but they were eventually beaten by Portland Timbers on penalties in the last 16.
Anyhow, Jaap Stam’s men regained a much-needed confidence ahead of upcoming MLS challenges. DC United, on the other hand, sit in the 10th position in the Eastern Conference ahead of the restart, and, no doubt, they should be happy with one point from Saturday’s football match. However, we are tempted to put our money on Cincinnati this time out, as they have been showing signs of improvement of late.
