After recording a routine 2-0 win over Mallorca in midweek, Real Madrid will be looking to retain top position when they face Espanyol at RCDE Stadium. Los Blancos have been impressive in La Liga after the coronavirus football break, and, no doubt, they are high on spirits ahead of the trip to Catalonia. Luka Modric misses the Espanyol game through suspension, but Zinedine Zidane has a number of high-profile footballers to choose from.
Los Periquitos, on the other hand, aim to escape the relegation zone as soon as possible, but it is more than obvious that Abelardo’s troops miss their loyal fans. Bernardo Espinosa returns from suspension for the hosts, but given Real Madrid’s current form, we do not believe that the relegation strugglers are going to grab something from Sunday’s showdown. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be pacey winger Vinicius, who scored a beautiful goal in the victory over Mallorca.
