Atletico Madrid will be aiming to cement their spot in top four when they host Deportivo Alaves at an empty Wanda Metropolitano. Los Rojiblancos are high on confidence following three consecutive wins in La Liga, and, they will, as always, leave their hearts on the field. Even though head coach Diego Simeone is likely to stick to his rotation policy, home win should be considered.
Deportivo Alaves, on the other hand, failed to impress in back-to-back losses to the likes of Celta Vigo (0-6) and Osasuna (0-1), but their La Liga status does not seem to be in danger. The Basques are stuck in the middle of the table ahead of the trip to Madrid, and given the importance of the match for the high-flying hosts, the visitors are likely to return home empty-handed. Even though Alaves defender Martin Aguirregabiria returns from suspension, we are tempted to put our money on Diego Simeone’s warriors.
