Football Academy Stadium will host Wednesday’s football game between Ararat-Armenia and Omonia. Ararat-Armenia failed to impress in the Champions League qualifiers last term, with the team losing to Swedish side AIK in the double header. The Armenians aim to make amends for the unsuccessful qualifying campaign, and, no doubt, they will fight tooth and nail in the clash against Omonia. The Cypriotes have yet to start the new domestic campaign, but they did well to beat Doxa in their last warm-up game.
Anyhow, a low-scoring affair is on the cards in Yerevan as both sides are likely to adopt a defence-minded approach in Wednesday’s clash. Omonia failed to find the net in three of their last four friendly games, which is yet another reason why under 2.5 goals betting option should be considered. It has to be noted that the two sides have never met before in European competitions.
