Estadio Municipal de Santo Domingo will host Sunday’s football game between Alcorcon and Cartagena, the two bottom-table sides. Alcorcon aim to put an end to their four-game winless run in La Liga 2, and a victory over Cartagena should see them escape the relegation zone. Despite failing to convert a penalty in a goalless draw with Las Palmas, right midfielder Ernesto Gomez should keep his place in the starting XI.
Cartagena, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 loss to Sabadell in their last league match. Los Albinegros did well to beat Malaga in their last away game in Segunda Division, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the trip to Madrid. However, beating Alcorcon on the road is easier said than done, and we are tempted to put our money on draw in this one.
